Why I thought of this information
While working for elderly people in developed countries I found that, they enjoy a certain “quality of life”. Not only do they indulge in house-hold comforts of life but also participate in lot of recreational activities outside the house-hold like camping, travelling, cycling, sports, etc for physical and mental health, without the pain of arthritis restricting their mobility. However the situation in our country is different partly because of cultural roles expected from our elderly and also because of limited resourses and lack of scientific information. I feel the elderly people in our country deserve the same “quality of life” as their western counterparts inspite of all constraints. This book is a humble attempt to address the lack of practically useful information about knee arthritis which mostly bothers senior citizens.
